Recommended for 9mm AR with 14.5 - 16" barrel

JP Enterprises Extra Power Buffer Springs are center-less ground and polished to a mirror finish on the outside edge for silent, smooth operation. These springs run very smoothly and much more quietly than standard buffer springs. Great for those tired of the raspy sound of AR buffer springs and for those using suppressors. These combined with our 9mm Hydraulic Buffer reduce spring noise significantly.

For 9mm ARs these AR-10 rifle springs are recommended for 14.5 - 16" barrels if using our 9mm Hydraulic Buffer. They give the most spring force possible and this helps to decelerate the heavy 9mm bolt before it impacts at the rear of it's recoil stroke. This helps in holding bolt in battery, keeping recoil to an absolute minimum and reducing wear on trigger parts. This spring is too long for our Aktive buffer or any typical AR carbine buffer. They also work great in any .308 AR-10 with a fixed stock. Expected service life is 10,000-20,000 rounds.

My new MBX barrel loves 147 gr. ammo.  I switched from the Standard hydro buffer with carbine length JP 308 spring, to the heavy hydro buffer with a rifle length JP 308 spring.  The combination works great to accommodate the higher Power Factor (PF).  Fast follow up shots with very low felt recoil.  The HD buffer with a JP 308 Rifle length spring is perfect for high PF rounds.

Installed with a Blitzkrieg Hydro buffer and it fits perfectly when paired with a carbine buffer tube, no spacer needed. BCG travels just beyond the bolt catch preventing stress that can damage the catch. This is as good as it gets when paired with the Hydro buffer.  You won’t be disappointed. Just be certain you pair the correct spring with the buffer tube being used.
